Atlas Orthogonal Adjustments
The atlas adjustment involves using an instrument designed specifically to adjust the atlas vertebrae, and does not involve the “cracking” or “popping” the vertebrae. The equipment delivers a precise percussion force designed to bring the atlas vertebrae back into alignment.
Sports Injury and Related Rehabilitation
Dr. Perrino is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (ACBSP). The CCSP® certification requires post-graduate education in chiropractic sports medicine. Dr. Perrino offers acute and chronic care of sports related injuries along with prevention education for athletes and parents. Dr. Perrino has further training in concussion management from the ACSM and ACBSP. We incorporate stretching, passive and active exercises, core stability, behavioral modifications and more to your treatment plan to get you the best results.

Pre-Participation Sports Physical
We offer pre-participation sports physicals. Please bring in all of your appropriate paper work completed. Same day appointments available for sports physicals.
Adopted from the American College of Sports Medicine: (ACSM) The pre-participation exam (PPE) has the following goals:
1. Idenify medical and orthopedic problems that may place the athlete at risk for injury or illness;
2. Identify correctable problems that may impair the athlete’s ability to perform;
3. Maintain the health and safety of the athlete;
4. Assess the fitness level for specific sports;
5. Educate athletes and parent concerning sports, exercise, injuries and other health related issues.
Kinesio-Taping
Dr. Perrino offers patients and athletes corrective and rehabilitative taping via Kinesio Taping. Dr. Perrino is a certified Kinesio Tape Practitioner (CKTP) with additional training on proper use and application. The tape is Latex-free and safe to use on most people for days at a time. The Kinesio Taping® Method is a definitive rehabilitative taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion as well as providing extended soft tissue manipulation to prolong the benefits of manual therapy administered within the clinical setting.
Custom Foot Orthotics
Dr. Perrino utilizes products from Amfit to create IN – HOUSE custom foot orthotics. Orthotic inserts allow the feet and lower legs to function at their highest potential. Orthotics can decrease pain, alleviate pressure, and increase stability in an unstable joint. In addition, orthotics are used to treat specific pathologies such as diabetes, plantar fasciitis, hammer toes, heel spurs, and arthritis. Amfit technology ensures unparalleled results with orthotics that fit the contours of your feet.
Digital X-rays
The Head and Neck Center of Hawai’i takes great care of their patients. We utilize state of the art digital x-ray which allows for high quality images with minimal radiation exposure. One study has shown that there was a 20% – 50% reduction in x-ray exposure to patients when using digital x-ray systems (Jonssen, 1996).
