Dr. Kevin Perrino DC is a highly educated health care practitioner, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in June 1998. In 2000 Dr. Perrino finished his post-doctorate training with the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (ACBSP) and is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP). He has since furthered his education by earning a Masters in Biology in 2009 and a Masters in Higher Education in 2012.
Dr. Perrino owns Head and Neck Center of Hawai’i in Kailua Kona bringing a technique to the islands which is one of a kind. Atlas Orthogonal (AO) technique is a precise and safe adjustment utilizing x-ray and a table to realign only the Atlas bone. If the first cervical vertebrae (bone) in the spine becomes misaligned it can adversely effect the surrounding area and the rest of spine. He is excited to work with other health care professionals for the care of patients, especially with concussion, migraine (headaches), and TMJ. He continues to be an online professor for the sciences and a part time teacher at Makua Lani Christian Academy in Kailua Kona.
Dr. Perrino is a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner (CKTP); is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine in concussion education as well as on the Concussion Registry for completing courses in concussion management from the ACBSP. He also received a certification as a Chiropractic Sports Injury Specialist from Texas Chiropractic College. Dr. Perrino earned a Diploma in FIFA Football Medicine.
Dr. Perrino owned a practice in NJ for 12 years. During this time he worked with Athletic Trainers and colleague athletes from Rider University and Georgian Court University. He was an adjunct professor in Biology and Nursing Programs at two local universities, an online professor, and volunteer firefighter.
Dr. Kevin Perrino is board certified and licensed practitioner of chiropractic in Hawai’i. He has done research and co- produced papers on cancer therapeutics, chiropractic AO technique; has developed and taught course in anatomy, physiology, masters level courses in neurobiology and pathology and has returned athletes to the playing field via his sports education and collaborations with other health care providers. He is known for his dedication and care of patients; collaboration with healthcare practitioners; and has deep respect for the field.
